Applying for Financial Aid

The basic principle of financial aid is that the primary responsibility of paying for a college education lies with the student and her/his family to the extent that they are able to pay.  Financial assistance from federal, state, and institutional or private sources is intended to supplement, not replace, what the family can afford to pay.  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine the student’s and/or family’s ability to pay for educational expenses.
Student’s wishing to apply for financial assistance to attend Bellin College (BC) must complete and file a FAFSA each year of their program.  The priority filing deadline for the FAFSA is March 1st of each year.  Students may not complete a FAFSA until after January 1 of the year in which they are applying for aid beginning with the following fall.  The student and at least one parent (if the student is a dependent) will need to have a US Department of Education PIN in order to electronically sign the FAFSA.  Once you have a PIN, you will use it every year; if you (or a parent) do not have a PIN, apply for one here.
Special FAFSA filing instructions for BC Students:  Bellin College has agreements with both UW-Green Bay (UWGB) and St Norbert College (SNC) for students who are enrolled at one of those campuses to complete general education coursework.  The grid below indicates what college(s) should be listed on your FAFSA in the College Release section; the college in italic will be responsible for preparing your financial aid award.

Sophomore Junior

(includes 15 Month students)
MSN Program BC only for entire enrollment

*If you will not be enrolled at either UWGB or SNC for general education courses during the freshman or sophomore years, please consult with the BC financial aid office
