IHI Open School

IHI stands for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Our chapter goals and objectives are first, to generate local awareness of – and excitement for – quality improvement, patient safety, and leadership among the next generation of health care professionals. Second, to advance quality improvement and patient safety competencies locally. You may ask what do IHI Open School Chapters do? Members take IHI Open School courses online, we host events related to quality improvement and participate in educational reform related to quality and safety. Next, you may ask, what will I get if I join IHI Open School? There are endless benefits for participating in IHI including, but not limited to: boosting your skills in patient safety and quality improvement in health care, network with other health care professionals at local, regional, and national levels, be involved in projects for local health care organizations, and generate certificates from online IHI Open School courses to fill your nursing portfolio with!
