Dr. Stephanie Stewart is the Dean of Nursing. Prior to coming to Bellin College, she was Vice President of Academic Affairs for Chamberlain College of Nursing where she oversaw strategic direction, academic integrity and standardized implementation of all curricula for Chamberlain College of Nursing's nationwide campuses and online programs.

Dr. Stewart also spent 19 years at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she assumed several leadership positions including Undergraduate Program Director, Associate Dean and Director of Nursing Innovation. Highlights of her work at the University of Wisconsin include administration of a collaborative online RN to BSN degree completion program; an accelerated online BSN program; and all traditional undergraduate programs. Dr. Stewart also developed a variety of creative programs to enhance nurses’ skills, including the creation of a Second Life virtual campus online.

Dr. Stewart enjoys sharing her research and experience in the field of nursing education by writing for publications, serving on advisory committees and governing boards, and holding office in professional organizations. Most recently, she has been a CCNE accreditation evaluator since 2000 and a team leader since 2010. Dr. Stewart’s focus on innovation in nursing education has led her to present, consult, and organize student trips to several countries including India, Brazil, Oman, Finland, Korea and New Zealand.
