Summer Camps at Bellin College

Bellin College has two Summer Nursing Camps offered for high school students entering their junior or senior year.  One camp is a four-day overnight camp and one camp is a three-day commuter day camp. Bellin College also offers a one-day Radiologic Sciences Summer Camp for for high school students entering their junior or senior year interested in finding out more about the field of radiology.

Overnight Nursing Camp: June 18-21, 2017

Deadline to Apply: TBD
Cost: $175
Camp includes:  hospital scrubs, camp t-shirt, all meals/snacks, lodging and transportation to day’s activities 
Housing: Students attending the overnight camp, will be housed at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB) campus while attending the summer camp at Bellin College. 
 

Commuter Nursing Camp: July 17-19, 2017

Deadline to Apply: TBD 
Cost: $130
Camp includes:  hospital scrubs, camp t-shirt, lunch/snacks, and transportation to day’s activities


Campers for both nursing camps will have the opportunity to:

  • Shadow nurses at local hospitals
  • Visit a variety of hospital settings
  • Experience and practice a number of nursing skills on the Bellin College campus
  • Tour an Emergency Room and the Eagle III Emergency Helicopter
  • Discover the many opportunities available in the field of nursing
  • Learn about college planning
  • Meet new friends
  • Take home hospital scrubs & much more!                        



Who can apply? 
Wisconsin and Upper Michigan residents who are high school students entering their junior or senior year (must be 16 by the start of camp).

Selection Criteria
Students are selected upon information submitted on the Summer Camp application, essay, reference forms, and transcripts.  Students are not selected on a first come first served basis. 

Payment
Payment is not required until after the participants have been selected to attend the camp. 

Scholarships
Bellin College is offering one (1) scholarship per camp for the summer of 2017. Scholarship applications for nursing camps are due in March (date to be determined). Scholarship application must be submitted with general application form. Please read scholarship application and fill out application in its entirety to be considered.

Medical Imaging Day Camp: July 10, 2017  

Bellin College offers a one-day Radiologic Sciences Summer Camp for high school students
entering their junior or senior year Photos of Students learning about the field of Radiologic Sciencesinterested in finding out more about the field of radiology. 

Deadline to Apply: TBD
Cost per participant: $50 
Camp includes: camp t-shirt, dinner and snack, and transportation from Bellin College to and from day’s activities.

Summer campers will have the opportunity to:

     •  Experience hands-on activities regarding basic radiology skills on the Bellin College campus
     •  Learn and practice basic care-giving skills
     •  Visit a variety of radiology departments at Bellin Health such as MRI, CT, and Mammography
     •  Discover the many opportunities available in the field of radiology
     •  Learn about college planning
     •  Meet new friends
     •  Take home a t-shirt and much more!
