BSN 15 Month Option Admission Criteria

The 15 Month Option is designed for individuals seeking to pursue a career in nursing. Applicants must have completed the 56 general education credits listed below, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 transfer courses with no grade lower than a ā€œCā€ in those transfer courses. Students are not allowed to repeat a required course more than one time. The 56 credits must meet the distribution listed below.

The program is designed in 8-week sessions to be completed in 7 consecutive terms. Students graduate after 15 academic months of coursework. The following 56 general education credits are required for admission:

*Satisfied if all subsequent Natural Science courses completed.
**Credits from non-semester schools will be converted.
***If a student has a prior degree, the Writing Requirement is waived. Students will need to meet the minimum general education credit requirement to obtain a Bellin College degree.

A credit evaluation will assist in determining eligibility for this option.


The Credit Evaluation and GPA calculation will include any course taken that would meet the following criteria:  
Required general education courses include:  Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, Philosophy/Ethics, Diversity, Statistics, Communication, Human Development, Writing, Business, and Upper Level credits.

Official admission is contingent upon receipt of any official transcripts (if courses are in progress at the time of application), and completion of the health requirements prior to enrollment. (Date will be communicated).

Meeting minimum program requirement does not guarantee admission.
